this playlist sprouted from my love for cobra starship. its full of songs that allow me to pretend its 2009 and i have a crazy side part, which is probably my favorite thing to do!! there’s a mixture of different artists in here and slightly different genres, but still within the same vibe.

of course, a lot from cobra starship’s hot mess (2009). since this was the album that inspired this playlist to begin with, i wanted to include a lot from it! some of my personal favorites are “fold your hands child” and “you’re not in on the joke.” I think that this album was so perfect for its time and deserves more recognition. fangs up cobra style, everyone.

finally, adam lambert’s “if i had you” also evokes a visceral reaction out of me, and is one of my favorite songs to scream to from this playlist. the album this is on, for your entertainment, is another from 2009. how perfect. one of the most iconic dance pop albums to come of the 2000s!!
